Brian Schiller provides dedicated and comprehensive representation for individuals who have been harmed and/or injured in the areas of civil litigation and personal injury. Mr. Schiller also devotes a substantial amount of his practice to defending individuals charged with DUI and criminal offenses. In these capacities, Mr. Schiller enjoys a diverse caseload as he strives to be one of the rare attorneys who can turn his hand to, and experience success in, many legal disciplines.  Based on his belief that each case requires careful thought and attention, Mr. Schiller strictly limits his caseload to ensure that each of his clients receives the dedicated representation they deserve.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Schiller gained valuable trial experience as an Assistant Prosecutor in Union County, New Jersey. During his short tenure as an Assistant Prosecutor, he tried over twenty-five cases to verdict and boasted a remarkable conviction rate. In 2012, he prosecuted 12 jury trials - the most jury trial prosecutions in the state.

Since fulfilling his public duty representing the citizens of the state of New Jersey, Mr. Schiller has transitioned his focus to the representation of victims throughout the state in the civil arena. Mr. Schiller employs a strategic, creative and comprehensive approach tailored to achieve success for his clients on a case-by-case basis. He is well known for his dedication to success and client satisfaction by leaving no stones unturned to achieve justice for his clients. Never to be outworked, Mr. Schiller seeks to ensure that all of his cases end with the best possible result.

The accomplishment that Mr. Schiller is most proud of, however, is his involvement in the investigation and prosecution of a former Secaucus and Elizabeth Board of Education teacher, who groomed and sexually abused dozens of middle school students from 1980-2004. Mr. Schiller has worked tirelessly since 2013 to obtain justice for several men who were victimized by this teacher, including conducting and overseeing an comprehensive investigation that began in 2013. The evidence uncovered through that investigation, which is still on-going, was turned over to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office in 2017. Goodlin was subsequently charged and arrested for multiple counts of Aggravated Sexual Abuse. He would later be found guilty and sentenced to prison.

Mr. Schiller is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney and a Criminal Trial Attorney. In order to obtain Trial Certification in New Jersey, attorneys must demonstrate sufficient levels of experience, education, knowledge and skill in specific areas of law, pass a rigorous examination, and be recognized by other attorneys and judges as having sufficient skills and a favorable reputation. Out of over 75,000 practicing attorneys in New Jersey, less than 3% are certified as Trial Attorneys, and only a handful are certified as both Civil and Criminal Trial Attorneys.
